Ricky Bobby, a NASCAR driver, was on top of the world until he was challenged by French Formula One racer, Jean Girard. This led to a devastating crash, leaving Ricky traumatized and lost.

Working odd jobs, he eventually finds himself back on the track, this time being coached by his father, who abandoned him as a child. With his family’s support and his trademark reckless driving style, Ricky eventually faces Jean Girard once again in a winner-takes-all race.

Despite being in last place, Ricky manages to come back for a thrilling finish, securing his redemption and reaffirming his love for the sport. The 2006 comedy film was directed by Adam McKay and starred Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Gary Cole.
