“Spider-Man” is the first movie in the Spider-Man franchise that tells the story of a teenage boy named Peter Parker, played by Tobey Maguire, who lives with his aunt May, played by Rosemary Harris, and uncle Ben, played by Cliff Robertson. Peter leads a simple life in Queens, New York, as a high school student and a photographer at the Daily Bugle, where he is constantly under the scrutiny of his boss, J. Jonah Jameson, played by J.K. Simmons.
Peter secretly falls in love with Mary Jane Watson, played by Kirsten Dunst, a beautiful girl in his class, while his best friend Harry Osborn, played by James Franco, joins him in a science experiment involving genetically modified spiders. During the experiment, Peter gets bitten by a spider that has been altered by science, which gives him extraordinary powers, including superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to cling to walls.
