As the daughter of one of the Empire’s top scientists, Jyn Erso was accustomed to a life of privilege and comfort. But when she was just a child, her father was forced to work on a secret project for the Empire: the construction of the ultimate weapon, the Death Star.
Jyn grew up in the shadows of her father’s work, always knowing that he was doing something dangerous and secretive. And when her father disappeared, she was left with a deep sense of longing and anger.
That anger didn’t fully manifest until she joined the Rebel Alliance. It was there that she discovered the true horror of the Death Star: a weapon capable of destroying entire planets, built with technology that her father had developed.
