He seems to have given up his life of villainy and is now working for the AVL (Anti-Villain League), but that’s only because he can’t seem to catch the infamous villain, Balthazar Bratt, played by Trey Parker. This evil mastermind has become a villain both on and off screen, stealing the world’s largest diamond.
Gru’s failure to catch Balthazar Bratt leads to his dismissal from the AVL, and marks the beginning of a new era in his life. As he struggles to come to terms with his new reality, he starts to feel a pull back to his old life of crime. Will he be able to resist temptation and continue down his new path of being a good guy, or will he give in and embrace his wicked side once again?
