Meet Drea, a 20-year-old college hopeful who finds herself in need of money to pay for her tuition. She lands a job as a babysitter for a professor’s children – Trissy and Jake – and her own little brother, Phillip.
Initially, Drea thinks it will be an easy job. She has babysat before, and with her experience she is confident she can keep the kids entertained. However, things quickly take a strange turn when she takes the children on a hike. Unknown to them, alien critters have crash-landed on Earth and have been devouring every living thing in their path.
As they make their way deeper into the woods, the group discovers the remains of other hikers who have fallen victim to the bloodthirsty aliens. Drea realizes they are not alone and that they must fight for their survival. Together, they come up with a plan to outsmart the creatures and save themselves from being devoured.
