The year is 2050 and the world has become a bleak place. Crime runs rampant and violent gangs rule the streets. The worst of them all is led by a sadistic and ruthless man known only as “The Duke”.
One day, The Duke is finally captured and sentenced to life in prison. Desperate to turn his life around, he volunteers for a cutting-edge conduct-aversion experiment that promises to cure his violent tendencies and give him a chance to start anew.
The experimental procedure involves exposing The Duke to intense psychological stimuli that will trigger a negative response whenever he thinks about committing a violent act. But as the days turn into weeks, it becomes clear that something is very wrong.
The Duke’s mind begins to unravel, and he is plunged into a nightmare world of hallucinations and delusions. He can no longer distinguish between reality and his twisted fantasies, and the people around him start to fear for their lives.
The scientists in charge of the experiment are at a loss. They never expected their creation to have such disastrous consequences. As they struggle to contain the situation, The Duke becomes ever more unstable, and it becomes clear that he will stop at nothing to escape his prison and wreak havoc on the world.
In a final confrontation with the scientists who created the experiment, The Duke unleashes his full fury and almost succeeds in destroying everything in his path. But in a shocking twist, he is finally able to break free from his violent impulses and see the error of his ways.
With his newfound clarity, The Duke accepts his fate and goes back to prison, where he spends the remainder of his life reflecting on the terrible things he has done. The conduct-aversion experiment may not have gone as planned, but it ultimately taught The Duke the value of life and the importance of personal responsibility.
